Your DD sounds very accomplished regarding her art. Her unique application may get the attention of the admission staff, but please understand that the BS/MD programs are VERY competitive (lots of science AP classes etc). Best of luck to her. Your post is not offensive. You simply asked a question. -signed, mother of a DS who graduated from medical school recently.
Just because your DS graduated from medical school does not make you an admission expert in BS/MD. OP should not listen to people here. If your DD is interested in the BS/MD program, she should definitely apply. She has a very unique skill that very few people have. Artists are very creative people and I would pick her over someone with perfect GPA/SAT/community services. Your DD does not need to convince every schools with BS/MD programs out there, she just needs to convince one.
Clueless
Didn’t David Hogg attend Harvard with mediocre SAT and grade? He only needs to convince one school, Harvard, to accept him.
He didn't have to convince anyone. Harvard goes after "famous" kids like him. Going to med school is completely different than typical college process. Your fame won't get you in. If he weren't famous, no way in hell he would've gotten in.
