I'm not a big gotsoccer person, but I agree that they do not draw the area's top talent.  That is FCV all day long.  If his DD is looking to play DA/ECNL, it should be FCV.

All I'm saying is they have a good program for midfielders.  How strong their teams are is a function of the players they have.  Some teams are quite good, and some are not.  No question.

But winning and losing isn't necessarily a midfield issue.  Otherwise, Metro United most be losing because of its midfielders, right?  Wrong, you can't say that.  There's more to it than that.  You can have great midfielders and still be a team that is weak in the back or the front.  Sometimes it's a goalkeeper issue.  I've seen teams at clubs that are pretty good, but they don't have a good goalie and it costs them.

The style of Barca is a possession style that plays through the midfield.  These coaches are all trained on that system by Barca itself.  How good a team is at it is a function of the ability of the players it has.
