I’m considering a west elm Upholstered bed for a guest room. In fact I was going to order it today. It’s about $600 cheaper than the C&B equivalent and over $1000 less than room and Board. Anyone have a bed from there? Also what’s their deal on discounts? I always have 20-25% off codes for PB and W-S but because I’m not a west elm shopper I don’t get their promotions. Do they do the same thing?
I have had 1 WE upholstered bed in my guest room since 2010 (it was my main bed for 5 years) as well as WE nightstands and a dresser. The bed has held up really well. The nightstand and dresser are not in great shape but the nightstands could probably be restored with a good staining. In my master, we have an upholstered bed, two nightstands and a dresser. We've had them for 5 years. They are all in fantastic shape. The bed is doing great and we have cats. I would definitely recommend WE for furniture, but not something you sit on because they're not as comfortable. I splurged on my living and dining room with R&B, they have lasted a long time and look great.
To add to this, my R&B couch became really saggy after 4 years, so in year 5 I replaced the seat cushions from R&B for $400. It was so worth it. I'll replace the whole couch when they sag again in 5 years.
