If the direct route isn't bikeable or walkable, is there another way she can go that would have sidewalks? Is there a public bus she can take? Is there a school bus she can ride to another neighborhood from which she can reach the studio?
I apologize if I sound snippy for saying this, but many people have asked these same questions, and if any of these were options I wouldn't be posting here. We are in a somewhat rural area (but the school and dance studio are along busy roads), that's why there are no sidewalks, no there is not a city bus around, and there is no other path for her to get there. The school doesn't even have a crossing guard because all the kids who go there are bus riders. I know this is hard to imagine, but it's the situation. I would be fine with my daughter walking there if there was a sidewalk and crossing guard, but there isn't.
Have you checked if the dance studio has any type of bulletin board? Try posting on there. You might be able to find another family that also dances in the afternoons that would be willing to be hired to pick up your child at school and take her to dance with them. Or perhaps a dancing HS student who can stop and pick up your daughter on her way to dance. Dancing that includes this much practice/rehearsal, is expensive and there may be another family or dancer who would welcome the chance to offset some of their expenses by just stopping by a school a mile away from the studio to pick up another dancer and take her to class.
