I am you, PP. I have been to Millie's many times, because I like their strong cocktails and in [b]the gastronomic desert that is AU Park and Spring Valley,[/b] I like their food. I live in the neighborhood and I can walk to Millie's.
I have never noticed these MILFies. I wouldn't recognize a Goyard bag or $500 sneakers. I think I will skip Millie's from now on. I don't think I want to patronize such a place.[/quote]

This is really the issue.  In the walkable areas - Spring Valley, AU Park, and the Westbrook ES area of Bethesda (which, while not as pricey as Spring Valley, is comparable to AU Park) - there are few options.  Other than DeCarlo's (populated exclusively by blue-hairs), Back Alley BBQ (which, while excellent, is take-out only), and the even more overpriced than Millie's Pizzeria Paradiso, there aren't any other options.  Millie's is fine, but it's lack of other destinations that really drives the train.   And when the median HHI in the surrounding area is likely $300,000+, it's not terribly surprising there are a non-trivial number of good-looking people wearing expensive clothes at the restaurant.
