So...yes.[/quote] Yes, it is helpful for teachers to walk parents through the pedagogy behind their work. It can help parents refine what they are doing with their children at home, connect more deeply to why play based it so important and also allows the teachers an opportunity to continue to remind high strung parents why it is ok that their 3 year olds aren't sitting in desks and doing handwriting. If you were a professional, wouldn't you want the opportunity to connect with and explain your work to key stakeholders? [/quote]
