The Fairfax venue is MUCH easier. Free parking and plenty of it, with a quick walk across the lot to the venue.  We sat rather high up but it's a smaller arena, so it was fine and we could see all the action.  There really aren't any bad seats. We wore long sleeves and brought jackets, but that wasn't necessary (I remember the one in DC being colder but that may have been because it was winter). The ticket prices seemed lower to me, too.

This roadtrip one had vignettes from a lot of different Disney movies and lots of special effects (pyrotechnics, fire!, aerialists, etc.), which made it interesting to watch.

Yes, lots of little girls wearing princess dresses (the young boy in front of us was wearing a superman cape). I don't buy any food or trinkets/souvenirs there to keep costs down. They confiscated the bottle of water in my purse, but I was able to bring in a couple snack-type bars.  Everyone around us seemed to have snacks and refillable water bottles with no issues.

A good time had by all, including one in our group who hadn't seen any of the movies (but likes ice skating).
