My kid is one of those. Perfect SAT scores, 10 scores of five on APs, straight As in an MCPS magnet.

If that’s so, then I deserve blame for my other kid’s struggles.

Sure, we have provided a print-rich, stable home environment for our kids, trips to museums, time outdoors, etc.  we gave them the tools for learning.  But their achievements, successes, and their struggles and failures as well are theirs and theirs alone.[/quote]
