Not saying DC is unique among major cities. NY is dirtier but much faster and more coverage. Same with London. Tokyo is cleaner but actually more crowded, though the Japanese make up for it by being small and polite.

Any way you slice it, subways are as bad as it gets. Give me a private driver any time. Or even my own car in traffic if need be. [/quote]
