Live and let live. Get off your judgmental horse.[/quote] Yeah, that was a very bad example. In my district, high school students called a general strike on the last inauguration day. About 20% walked out and held a rally at our statehouse. They had negotiated with the superintendent in advance of the strike and brought in the ACLU, so absences weren't excused but students couldn't be given an extra punishment for political speech that was beyond the regular punishment for skipping class. Whether people supported the students' action or not, it was definitely a powerful civic learning experience.[/quote]
