GK is a tough position and they get banged up whether or not a foul is actually called.[/quote] Yes, they are protected more than other players in the box, it’s one of the unwritten rules of the sport. Due to the nature of the position, of course they’ll get banged up. Their job is literally to put their body on the line to keep the ball from going in.[/quote]
