I don't think you're a jerk, OP. It's a valid question. How can we not make observations like that? I don't know the answer to your question except to say, I never really go to 7-11 or convenience stores like that.
Really? You never have to stop off and pick up a gallon of milk on the way home? You never have a craving for a Twix bar? It just seems like the type of place that everyone would ultilize, yet it seems like the population you typically see there isn't an acurrate cross section of the population at large?
Np. I never go to 7-11. I used to when I was a teenager. I bought candy.
So what happens when you realize your low on milk, do you actually go to a full blown grocery store just for that?
NP here. I do. I live in McLean, which has ( I think) 2 7-11s. I have never gone into either of them, for no real reason. There aren't any panhandlers outside of them, and I have no idea what type of clientele is in there--teens I suspect, since I know my son and his friends have gone in for Slurpees or Slushees or whatever those things are. I just tend to dash into the grocery store even for the milk because it's still just as easy here, and I inevitably have run low or forgotten something besides milk anyway.
