NP. I finally tried a class. It was hard! The next day my abs and glutes hurt a little but my traps hurt more than anything. Like nearly injured hurt. This makes me think my form sucked and my core is too weak for even the beginner class. FWIW, in the past I’ve lifted heavy, done marathons, CrossFit, an Ironman, Orange Theory, have a black belt, and taught spinning. [Solidcore] was hard and the most frustrating of all the fitness I’ve tried. Did anyone else start off like this? Did anything help you overcome it?
One of the solidcore PPs and, yeah, it was super humbling when I first started. TBH, it still is most days, nearly 400 classes in, but that’s what I absolutely love about it. Make sure to ask the coaches to check your form, and that you’re on lower spring loads (and on your knees for core). It’s meant to be super hard. What helped me get through it was shifting my mindset from thinking I had to feel great to knowing the worse I felt, the harder I was working (worse as in difficult, not as in injured). Making friends and sticking to coaches I love has made all the difference, since I know collectively they have my back.
