Agree that they aren't magnets.  With a combined record in the OBGC Cup of 1-1-7 (W-D-L), they can't say that they can't find competition in the DMV.  Why drive to the Carolinas for average league games, all the competition you need is right here.[/quote]

Because there are always consideration for the "Path" for the future, the exposure of the higher level. Staying in DMV local team does not take your player to anywhere.
If you do not join so called national level now, it will be difficult for you to join in the future. the difference between the "good player" and the "not so good player" is small, you'd better take your spot as earlier as possible, until you get eliminated/cut from the team. same applies to national team or all college teams, and to all other sports.
