Why? True diversity is when a school strives to have a student body that represents the entire country and that means having kids who have a variety of ethnic backgrounds. We will soon not be a majority white population but many ethnicities and it is great if a school acknowledges that.  Too often we think doversitynis one group of people but that leaves out so many.[/quote]

This is a little mean, but I agree. The issue is this: typically private schools are majority white. If anything more diverse is possible, the school will strive to have representation of the minority (but who are in this case, the majority) groups in the surrounding area. It would be great if every "race" were representing in these top schools. But sometimes it is not possible and at the end of the day, in spite of recruiting, the people who apply are those that apply. [/quote]
