It's one thing to be able to think clearly in front of a screen about people we don't know, and quite another to decide based on hearsay and possibly suppressed accusations to cut ties with acquaintances or friends. He also did his best to collect evidence against certain acquaintances by making them co-perpetrators in his crimes. He probably helpfully loaned money to his friends, and did favors for many people.

This is what power is all about, and that's why powerful people can get away with torture, rape and murder.

Perhaps we could make and implement laws that punish more harshly the enablers of such crimes - the man had employees and friends who knew. What if these people knew they could face 20 years in prison for helping him?

I'm surprised the media haven't picked up on the fact that one of his employees, a male with a Hispanic name, died under suspicious circumstances during the investigation.   It's in the articles linked in the FBI Vault investigation.    And Ghislane Maxwell's father, Robert, was rumored to be a spy, possibly for Israel.   I wonder if she inherited his trade. [/quote]
