Yes, it places more emphasis on its Catholic identity.  What is wrong with that?  And know that the school is VERY welcoming of students of other faiths.  During the orientation weekend, they have a seminar to address this and they also help students understand the Catholic mass if they are interested in participating.  I think it's great that they have hung onto this.  GU has basically become a secular institution by comparison.  I heard about a gathering where there were visitors in a room where there was a statue of the Virgin Mary, and a GU board member apologized to the non Christians in the room for the presence of the statue.  Shameful.[/quote]
