It seems like the good parts of all religions are the same -- treat others well.  Help people in need, Be kind to strangers.   Don't lie, cheat or steal.

Then there's all the rules and regulations (worship me!)  and all the promises (eternal life!) which seem like ways to ensure people do the good things.

Consider the possibility that the humanist who wrote that comment has also been accused here of being a "ranting atheist."  Most atheists (non-believers in God) are also humanists (believers in the goodness of humans).
