And many others can't easily host an au pair given space/logistics.[/quote] Right, so the kids' Chinese isn't good relative to that of the families who host au pairs year in and year out, at least where parents require au pairs to ensure that kids answer Chinese with Chinese. You may or may not mind that the au pair-less YY kids speak poorly compared to those with au pairs, but that's the reality of the situation. Wish things were different.[/quote]
