This year Cooper MS sent about 37 to TJ, 75 some to private schools and the rest to public HSs mainly Langley HS. Their team placed 1st and 2nd in VA in Math competitions, Science Olympiad, Robotics, quiz bowl, Scholastics, and many more. Their band was the only MS band chosen in VA to attend a national band festival in IN this year. We’re pretty impressed with one Science teacher and one Math teacher. They built the love of STEM in kids. Parent involvement and volunteering is huge.
Hmm. https://www.fcps.edu/news/longfellow-middle-tjhsst-repeat-virginia-science-olympiad-champions
If you actually read the article, it says Cooper was second in Science Olympiad, which is what the original poster stated. So nothing fishy about this article. Hmmm?
DP The original poster stated :"Their team placed 1st and 2nd in VA in Math competitions, Science Olympiad..." It seems to me that the original poster implied that Copper finished 1st ...
Not at all. I interpreted it to mean 1st in the math competition, and 2nd in Science Olympiad. One being the former and one being the latter. You seriously think this was fishy?!
