[/quote] I don't have a kid at or heading to VT so this is just out of interest: What is the rental housing stock like in Blacksburg? Is this larger freshman class going to swamp the dorms the spill over and swamp the rental housing market in the area? I always wonder this about universities where there is a large proportion of students who must find off-campus housing. My DH (at another college and yeah, years ago) ended up in some really awful, as in actually unsafe/never maintained/overcrowded rentals because the rental market for broke students like him was so tight. So is a larger influx of students going to be a problem in the Blacksburg area?[/quote]
