That’s what my DH said to me as to one of the reasons why he chose Dave and Busters. Plus it was 5 min from my condo and somewhere he went to quite a bit to have dinner and/or drinks with his best friend from college who lived nearby. He said he doesn’t play video games anymore (we met at age 30 online). I was skeptical about the video game part when I heard it, but sSurprisingly, I have never seen him play video games the 12 years I’ve known him, and everything he said to me back then (best friend really does live nearby etc). Plus everything he’s said throughout my years of being married to him have been the truth. He’s really a straight shooter Boy Scout type. I do have to say that I was more used to first dates being at fancy restaurants or at coffee shops. But I gave this guy a try and he was actually refreshing as to how down to earth and kind he was. Anyway in hindsight, the first date location and stuff we talked about should also have clued me in that he wasn’t that used to eating at fancier settings (say Marcel, Plume). Also that he had visited maybe 3 out of the Washingtonian’s Best 100 restaurants, while I was at around 30-40 back then when we met.

Seriously?  There are people that do this?     I think the guy is totally normal.    Most guys just think food is fuel.   To most guys, Fancy restaurants are for special occasions and are too stuffy to relax in.  Parking is typically a nightmare.  The whole experience is generally frustrating to most guys.[/quote]
