The tax law doesn't change any of that. You pay money into a system that spends it immediately, but you are promised future returns. No money is invested in real assets to pay back those promises. I'm sure Bernie Madoff's victims want "their" money back too, but it's just not happening. The best that can occur is an orderly winddown. I expect need-based testing. I suggest you "donut hole" families stop whining and start saving.[/quote]
