Two rounds of IVF at 41.2 and 41.6. Five PGS normal blasts. One healthy child. I am thinking of having another from the embyros I banked. We had Male Factor infertility (very severe). I think there are plenty of lucky women who get pregnant with their OE at 41 (and even 42) but there are lots of women who go the donor egg route too. I was lucky that IVF worked for me.
That’s great! Congrats! Do you recall your AMH levels?
I don't have a perfect memory of my numbers but I remember that I was told in my initial consult that I had a 75% chance of having a child if I did three cycles but then after my first cycle, the doctor told me he was confident that I would have a baby through IVF. I think my egg quality was that of a 30-year old or thereabouts (I am not sure how one measures this anyway in a reliable way). Again, I was lucky on this front. I think my numbers were: FSH: 6-9; AFC: 12-22; AMH: .8 - 1 As folks here know, none of these numbers predict egg quality. And as the numbers above show, I had a range.
