If you lay a ruler on a map and draw a line from Metro through several houses to OP's house, that line is a half a mile long. Actual walking route sounds more like a mile. Look, any distance is walkable given enough time. I routinely walk a five mile loop for recreation. But when I need to get to work on time and looking nice, and carrying my laptop etc, a mile walk is not what I want. I live an 8 minute walk from the metro now, and we're planning to move to a bigger house a few blocks away. We'll likely start driving.[/quote]
