There are many parts of the world where we need to take our annual vacations where August is the worst month to visit (toi hot or too wet). Secondly, because of APs after the May exams, nothing get done in high schools and having the extra month of front-loaded instructional time is much less stressful and much better pedagogically. I hope the school board picks the mid-Aug or early Aug date for the start of the school year and keeps the extra week of winter break. [/quote]
