My H logged into our family apple account on his new phone. It synced with my ipad and my son's iphone. All his girlfriends texts went to our devices.
Yikes. I'm sorry.
Why would anyone link their phones to the apple account. Even without an affair, I don't want my kid reading my texts between my husband and I. There is such a thing as too much sharing.
It was unintentional. Settings can be changed when you get a new phone or make an update. I got my spouse an iPad for birthday. He went to lengths to make sure his iMessages wouldn’t go through to it. Couple months pass and he never used the iPad in a while but did update it regularly. One morning I was cleaning and saw the iPad and tried to use it bc he hadn’t been. Somehow his messages started to come back through again. I saw a bunch of numbers with no contact info coming up (it’s like it started downloading months worth of messages), to Craigslist ads and hookers for massages and blow jobs. So wasn’t affair but cheating nonetheless. I was more shocked about how logistically he was able to pull it off.
So, you had his code and was snooping. It's the same as you using his phone, right?
He didn’t have a passcode. I sat with him in our living room as I helped him test that his messages wouldn’t go through when it was first purchased. I also spoke with him days prior to discovery asking if I could start using iPad because he never did. He thought (as did I) his messages wouldn’t be going through, so he told me to go ahead. And even if it was snooping I obviously had every right to do it ? Lol but thanks for trying to make me look like the one being in the wrong.
+1. Just say no to victim-blaming.
Exactly. If you can't use each others phone, computers etc. that's a big problem.
