The 1/3 is a bit inaccurate.   This year there are about 40-50 kids in nysmith's graduating class of which about 20 applied to TJ and almost all made it to the second step (after the written tests) and then 12 kids this year were accepted after the final selection.  [/quote]

Yes this year was a surprise usually the % admits/total 2nd round qualifiers is about the same % as carson or Longfellow[/quote]
