No, you are right, our situations aren't the same. But I do think kindness and love go a long way. If you have a good relationship to start out with. Which I did with my daughter. So when she found out I cheated she was angry. But I don't think she ever hated me.[/quote]

It’s not about hating your parents or finding out your parent made a mistake.

This girl found out about something horrible her father did (the affair) THEN she found out her father would hurt HER to cover up his mistakes. She found out her dad can’t be trusted not to hurt HER. I don’t think this girl is angry so much as she’s TERRIFIED. Her moral compass as it relates to family has been destroyed. Everyone else wants to go along and reset the clock. I bet she feels like she’s going insane. [/quote]
