What's wrong with GPS tracking?  I use it all the time on my high school student.  I check to see if he's on his way home (long commute from school), so I can plan dinner.  [b]Eliminates need to call or text him asking when he will be home.[/b]  Our who family tracks each other for various purposes.

Grading websites...I also can see my son's grades.  I am paying $40K to send him to a high school, so I think I have every right to see his grades.

Yes, actually we do.  We like to eat together as a family.  And yes, I have one other younger child who is way more flexible.  My HS DS is the busiest kid in our family including my DH who works is a partner in a major law firm.  DS commutes one hour to school and has many ECs.  We try to make his life easy because he works so hard.  Call it helicoptering or whatever you want. We call it LOVE.

DP.  I adjust dinner time because of my kids' schedules all the time.  We don't have a set time.  We have a range.  Also, traffic can affect when I get home, so can getting a last minute call.  One would hope that Op's son would meet and marry someone who isn't so rigid that having a flexible range for dinner so the family can eat together isn't a deal breaker.  [/quote]
