A driver could indicate they are turning right and not turn at all. The person making the left would be at fault in an accident. That is why the left turner has to yield to opposing traffic.
Wrong. If a person turning left and a person turning right onto the same road collide and one has crossed the dashed lines for their lane, they are the driver at fault. Repeat, a person turning right only has right of way for the curb-side lane. If you swing wide when you turn, you are violating the right of way on the lane you cross into. If you can't turn onto a road without swinging into the next lane, you either need to go back to driver's ed or you need to drive a smaller car or you just need to yield right of way to other drivers. You can have a tantrum, hold your breath until you turn blue or try to lobby the police officer, but it won't help your bad driving and it won't get you out of violation of the right of way ticket if you cause an accident.
