It's probable that the hassle that goes into dealing with those things will lead him to care more about not losing. He may lose his wallet, may even do it more than once, but the intervals between the times will probably grow. Let him make mistakes, let him fail. If you're constantly saving him he has no reason to need to pay attention. [/quote]
