If companies are encouraged to hire "diverse" candidates, why isn't age (45 or 50+) something that a company should get credit for doing? Companies don't have to pay older workers more than they would a younger worker, just hire them. While I understand that older workers might use more medical/dental benefits, this could be offset by some sort of tax credit.[/quote] The government DOES do this. It’s called the Senior Community Service Employment Program.[/quote]
