They are all now parents themselves and it is so beautiful to see how they still support one another. Even the inlaws say "don't get between them." But now they are a part of the family and included in the big picture. We never allowed them to say bad things about each other. We made sure when apologies were needed they were applied. We taught forgiveness and tried to help them walk in each others shoes sometimes and lots of times we just turned our heads and let them work it out themselves as long as no one got hurt.
 
Blessings to you as you raise your wonderful children. I know one thing they have good, caring parents. 
PS. We had extended family problems also so we tried to teach our children to respect their extended family and just focused on who we were as a family. [/quote]
