No. Defensive driving would be to slow down when the other person, who OP already knows is unhinged with anger issues, can pass her so the other driver does not get an opportunity to try to sideswipe her. Defensive driving is not almost going off the road or hitting the median. [/quote]

OP here- slow down? There was no Way that I was going to slow down. When I say he was on my ass...I’m not joking. If I had braked, he’d have hit me so fast. The dude was so close to the back of my car, I could clearly see his face...[/quote]
