In theory I can appreciate the concept that as they get older there are different considerations. I don’t see how holding a kid back controls who his friends are though. You can hold your son back and he can still end up friends with older boys. Not sure what “huge mistake” could be so it’s hard to address more but holding your son back doesn’t absolve anyone from choosing who to associate with and whatnot. And my oldest is in his second year of college so I’m not just talking about older kids hypothetically.[/quote]
