And, a ladder is hard to hide. Simply carrying a ladder slows the intruder down.  Our border agents would have ample time to catch them.

A tall wall like the one Jim Acosta featured combined with the technology that the Trump administration is seeking as part of its border barrier package would go a long way on preventing criminals, rapists, gang members, drug dealers, and others from illegally entering our country. Well, a worked both the border and airport environments as a US Customs Agent and can tell u the traffickers and smugglers are light years ahead of us on technology, research and development and have unlimited funds.  If they can dig sophisticated tunnel systems under the current walls that go undetected for years, you don’t think they will come up with new methods for smuggling when the new walls go up.  They have access to machinery, explosives, drones, hot air balloons, submarines, planes and anything else you can think of.  The wall is smoke and mirrors just like U.S airport security.[/quote]
