The government caused the costs to skyrocket, with the loans to everyone for everything. I'm not convinced I want the government attempting to provide a solution to a problem it created. Good intentions, and all that.[/quote]
? The government caused the lending issue?  Did the government cause the lending issues in the housing bubble, or did that happen because "market forces" and unscrupulous lenders took advantaged of an unregulated industry?
