JFC you’ve got to be kidding me. NO ONE CARES about this one-term President. If my kids’ charter closes I’ll be LIVID.
LIVID? Because the needs of many outweigh the needs of a few? Gotcha..,
The needs of the many to do what? I really doubt there will be much disruption to the city due to the funeral. Feds holiday aside. I lived here for Reagan and Ford’s deaths and you know—I went on about my business just like every other day. I’m trying to think of what school might have traffic issues, but I can’t come up with any. Brent and Peabody are close to the Capitol, but they’re far enough it shouldn’t be a problem. So yes, I hope my kids’ learning won’t be interrupted during one of the few full weeks of school in Nov/Dec/Jan.
The only school I can think of that could be really impacted is John Eaton (and of course the Cathedral schools themselves) as high security events st the National Cathedral sometimes close Woodley, Lowell and 34th sts.
