Seems like a major problem is that people don’t want to live in Virginia (they just want to commute there) so how is making MoCo into the Virginia going to help that?
Personally, I don't want to live further south than MD. I have a mental block about living south of the Potomac river, but most of the high paying jobs are in NoVa, at least for DH and I. I don't want to move to VA, but I also don't want a long commute. Since I have kids and would like to see them for more than 30min a day, I'm going to have to move to VA if I want to be around lots of jobs in my field. Currently, we can hold out, but I don't know how much longer this will last. I'm ok with high taxes as long as we get some benefit out of it, as in not overcrowded schools and a decent commute. Right now, neither is looking good.
