I find this sad. Are preschoolers really dressing up in scary costumes? At our school all the boys are Spider-Man or Firefighters and the girls are butterflies or princesses!
Seriously. DD goes to a school that has kids ranging in age from newborns to kindergarteners, so I've seen the gamut of their costumes at their Halloween parade. Tons of superheroes, princesses, various Disney characters, animals, etc., but I can't recall seeing anything gory. DD is 2 and will be Winnie the Pooh this year. They have a little parade around the outside of the school (or in the gym if the weather is bad). Then they get a Halloween cookie in their classrooms. Really pretty innocuous.
