Agreed.  Normally I would not vote for Silverman, as I think (despite her journalism experience) that she lacks an understanding of basic economics in the real world and is too far to the left.  I'd like to vote for a reasonable centrist who understands the private sector.  But at least Silverman has integrity.  By contrast, Reeder doesn't.  She's running a race-baiting campaign, and her supporters read like a sordid collection of DC's seamier politics.  I'm surprised that Reeder isn't claiming Marion Barry's endorsement from the grave.

She really isn't running a race baiting campaign.  She's great.  Bowser didn't initially support her.  I wish she hadn't.  Reeder is a business owner and the leave law doesn't make any sense for small business owners.  It's a terrible law and most of the recipients don't even live in 
DC.  Im the COO of a large nonprofit in town.  We will basically have to use donor dollars to cover this cost and we already offer paid leave.  [/quote]
