If her ex makes it to 65 and retires, he has a longer life expectancy. But he might not make it to retirement. On the second point, we are talking about federal workers and not the general US civilian workforce. Many do work well past normal retirement, especially if they have had a portion of their retirement stolen from them. [/quote]
