The divorce. I am so much better off having split from my XH than resigning myself to a boring life with the wrong guy who was “good on paper” but we were roommates at home and not much more. I feel like I truly got to know myself having taken a year or so to live alone and not date during the separation and finalization of things. I know myself. I know what I want and what I won’t put up with. Thank God I didn’t have kids just because it would have been the next logical step and easier than starting over with someone new. [/quote]

Your comment is sad because it’s obvious you have no clue how self absorbed and immature you sound.  Marriage is hard work and most people ARE boring after you’ve spent years being married to them.  You’ll most likely end up alone because there’s no perfect relationship.  If you do remarry you’ll find out that a few years into the marriage you’re in the same place that you were with your ex.
