This line of logic floors me.

Recognize the freight train headed your way and manage it, like a grown up.  If you can afford to live in the south part of Del Ray or some other "desirable" area that zones to J-H, you can figure out something.  Make choices.  [b]Rent a freaking TH if you have to.[/b]  Plenty of other people have managed to sort it out.  You are not entitled to go to any public school you like.  You are entitled to go to the one you are zoned to, which in this case hasn't changed in many years.  But in general, boundaries can change and you might not like that either.  There is no community compact ANYWHERE that says boundaries will never change.  They will change and they do.  So my advice is buy or rent property in a school system where you can live with several outcomes and you're comfortable with schools overall.[/quote]

I have no idea, but the idea is sell your home and live in a rented place if you are having trouble buying somewhere else.  It's not as if homes in that part of Alexandria have any trouble selling.
