We bought a Toyota Sienna earlier this year (2 kids - 5 yo and 3 yo) and LOVE it. It's roomy and convenient, and it drives like a dream. Our previous car was an Accord, so the minivan is obviously much bigger, but it didn't take long at all to get used to it. Highly recommend.
The Toyota Sienna doesn’t drive like a big car. If you have an MDX, I don’t think you’ll have an issue. We just traded our Sienna for a Pilot (kids are now teens). I love my Pilot but I’m really missing the space and ease of my Sienna. You can’t expect an adult to ride in the 3rd row of an SUV like an MDX or Pilot. My Pilot is very spacious for a 3 row SUV but not spacious enough that I would ask an adult to sit back there unless it was an emergency. The minivan was a different story. It’s really quite comfortable even in the 3rd row. Your husband sounds like mine. He works in Bethesda and uses the parking garage excuse for why he didn’t want to drive the minivan daily. Must be a guy thing.
