Here you go! They are also offering a two- day BOSS in June from 9-3. BOSS 2018 BASIS Organizational Skills for Success This course is designed to help prepare students for BASIS Primary grades by teaching them basic organization, study, reading, and note taking skills, as well as acquainting them with a BASIS classroom environment. BOSS will reinforce academic capabilities by focusing on time management and classroom preparation to equip students with confidence and skills for success. It is highly recommended that all in-coming 5th and 6th grade students participate in this course. Please review the sessions below and choose one for your student. Registration is first come first serve. Dates: Monday, August 6th - Friday, August 10th Sessions: ~Group A 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM ~Group B 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Cost: $150.00* per student *Included in fee: Communication Journal & Locker fee for school year Location: BASIS Washington DC The BOSS course will focus on the following areas in order to help prepare your incoming fifth or sixth grade student for success throughout the year: • Getting to know classmates • Touring the building • BASIS rules and expectations • BASIS keys to success • Communication Journals • Accordion folders • Organizing a pencil case • Practice opening a combination lock • Organizing a locker and backpack • How to organize time at home • Getting to know the schedule and yearly calendar • Learning about specific teachers and their rooms • Getting to know office staff and Administrative team Deadline to register is July 27, 2018!
