+1  People who are lost and feeling adrift are easily swayed into joining cults and gangs.  This isn't a white person or American thing.  Those radical jihadists are really not that different than those school shooters, but of course, only Trumpsters like to distinguish the two as --  white killer = mental issues;  muslim killer = evil terrorist.[/quote]

No, you don't inherit their guilt because not all gun owners are prosecuted when one commits a crime. But laws can be used to address collective action problems. Why do we outlaw cocaine? Because some people have a hard time controlling themselves and become a danger and/or burden society because they can't use it responsibly. It appears that guns are the similar in this way. And, of course, some people still use illegal drugs. But their is much, much less use than if you could grab a line from the local Walgreens on your way home from work. [/quote]
