I’m an Independent voter but if the liberals are the ones advocating for all this rampant development then count me out. Why do we need to pave over every inch of green space in this county? And why the push for all the high density development? Nowhere near transit centers. Also I thought liberals want to protect the environment? Someone just posted in the Schools forum about the Ten Mile Creek development. How do the liberals justify development over protecting our back up water supply?
Well everyone on the Council is Democrat, and they appoint the members of the planning board, so I guess you know who to blame. Their theory on it is that we should build high density, especially near transit, which is why you see all the condo towers going up in Bethesda. Then, they won't touch even an inch of the Ag Reserve, which means no 2nd Potomac crossing, as that would need to enter a corner of it for a mile or two as it connects to 370/270/ICC interchange.
Those azzholes never put in any park, recreation or green space for all of those people living there. They are building a soulless concrete jungle.
Where are all those peoples kids going to go to school? Are they all supposed to walk their dogs in that new 0.25 acre micropark or are they goi g to sell tickets? Your dog can poop and stretch every Tuesday at 3 pm?
Nobody cares about green spaces and schools. I think overdevelopment is one of the major issues in MoCo. So many people choose to live in MoCo over DC precisely because it is suburban and because they can easily keep a car. Cramming in too many people in too small of a space is going to lead to issues.
