Why so angry? Why so fearful? I suspect it is the lack of morality in your worldview that makes you fearful of those who live by standards you cannot uphold. I get why you are scared. It doesn’t have to be this way. You too can find peace. But probably not as a liberal. Change can be scary. Embrace it.
OP is correct. Think about it, people.
Liberals fear Christians more than cats fear dogs. It’s not because liberals fear Hell; it’s because People who strive to live by a higher standard, people who hold themselves and others accountable for their actions, people who are self sufficient and don’t need a giant faceless government to change their diapers, scare the holy bejesus out of liberals. It pains me to write this, but it’s true.
Oh silly poster. Most of the liberals I know are Christian. Some are Jewish, and some are Hindu, and some are Muslim, and some are athiests. But by far the largest lot of them are Christian. They don't fear themselves. Now go get some sleep. It'll help.
Oye vey! The reason most of the liberals you know are Christian is because most of the country is Christian! I'm going to the grocery store this afternoon, and bet most of the people there will be Christian, although a few may be Jewish, or Muslim, or Hindu. I bet most people who buy Hondas and Camrys are Christian. I bet most people who ride the Metro are Christian. (This is fun and I can keep going, but you get my point.) That doesn't mean that the disdain for Christians, and white males in general, isn't coming almost exclusively from liberals. That is because liberals always side FOR whom they see as the underdog and AGAINST those they see in the superior position. It does not matter if the underdog is in the wrong. It doesn't matter if the underdog is breaking the law. The only thing that matters is that they are in the inferior position, and thus worthy of having advantages treatment applied to them. (Have you heard how some Democrats are reducing charges when they are against illegal immigrants to help them from being deported, while the full weight of the law is applied - rightly - to citizens?) And before you libs jump on me, please note I did NOT say these people are inferior. I am talking about the position only, from a legal or societal perspective.
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 5:3) Blessed are those who mourn: for they will be comforted. (5:4) Blessed are the meek: for they will inherit the earth. (5:5) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they will be filled. (5:6) Blessed are the merciful: for they will be shown mercy. (5:7) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God. (5:8) Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called children of God. (5:9) Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (5:10) Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. 5:11-12
Excuse me, but is this supposed to be in direct response to my point above? What do New Testament quotes have to do with anything? Sounds like a liberal who just assumes I'm Christian. I'm not. So....it's not just that liberals put down Christians. They also assume anyone who sees the anti-Christian hostility is Christian themselves. I just don't like bigotry, wherever it occurs. It shouldn't be an issue ONLY when the bigotry is against minorities (race or religion). That's liberalism for you: Bigotry is fine against certain groups of people, and they have decided which groups they are: Christians, white males (or whites in general), people in small-town America, and of course people who don't vote for Democrats.
